Economic Output Plummets, But What Does the Future Hold?

United States’ output, as measured by GDP, told us what we already knew. The economy suffered its worst contraction on record in the second quarter. Other data released today gives a better picture what the future might hold. Unemployment claims are stabilizing at a very elevated level. This will continue to drag on the economy which will likely see a slower recovery than many stock investors are anticipating.
